Why are the leaves still on the trees? I ask myself this question every year because I always forget when they fell off the trees the year before.
Half today. Nice. Definitely going to take that nap I've been meaning to take for the past week and a half. Luckily parents can't go to conferences because they're in Paris. What would teachers say? "We wrote those nice things on Sarah's progress reports, but...she has started falling asleep in class. What gives?" Well, dearest teachers, perhaps you should all cut back on the work so I can bump up the hours of sleep I get. Nah, it's not the amount of work. We all know that I could go to bed at 11 every night if I didn't have a social life (and by social life I mean nightly crises.)
Today's misty weather and chill has made me realize two things:
1. I want to go skiing (so I'll have to request off from work), and;
2. I need a cup of tea. stat. or chocolate chip pancakes, but tea has no calories.
Out to get vanilla yogurt soon, I think it's time for those no pudge fudge brownies that I've been meaning to make for quite some time now...
Oh and a creative assignment piece (lucky for me I like Shakespearean language), a tanach assignment (that I'm actually a little excited for -- I like the flood story), and college apps. Maybe I'll just edit some. and I'll e-mail Columbia about an ID because I'm going to need that sooner or later.
Glad everyone now knows my to do list.
If you're interested, check out Mayer Hawthorne. It's pretty cool '60's /'70's feel, with a modern beat. Honestly though, he could pass for Smokey Robinson himself.
much love.
